Grades 9 - 11

These tests assess student achievement on Tennessee learning standards for these high school courses: English I, II, and III, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Integrated Math I, II, and III, Biology, and U.S. History.

Fall Block:
November 26 – December 14

Detailed score reports will be shared with schools and sent to families in fall 2019.

Spring Block/Spring Traditional:
April 15 - May 3

TCAP
Grades 3-8

These tests assess student achievement on grade- level Tennessee learning standards in English- Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies

TCAP
Alt Grades 3-11

(MSAA & Science/Social Studies)

This assessment measures English-Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies performance and is designed for students with significant intellectual disabilities which prevent them from accessing standard achievement tests.

March 18 – May 10 (Tentative)

The state will release individual student reports with details of performance. These will be shared with schools and sent to families in fall 2019

ACT
Grade 11

ACT is a national college readiness exam that measures high school achievement and is used in the college admissions process. Students are tested in the spring of their junior year and have an opportunity to retake in the fall of senior year.

ACCESS for EL’s
Grades K-12

This assessment measures proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening for students receiving English learner supports

March 4 – April 19 (Tentative)

The state will release individual student reports to district staff for distribution to schools and parents.

ACCESS Placement Tests
(W-APT)

W-APT is given to students who speak a language other than English at home in order to determine the English language support they need at school.

Within 30 days of enrollment

Results will be communicated to parents by school staff.

Kindergarten Entry Inventory (KEI)

KEI provides a standards-aligned profile of each student's skills, knowledge, and competencies related to kindergarten readiness as they enter kindergarten in Tennessee.

Advanced Placement Exams
Grades 9-12

These exams are administered in the spring at the conclusion of each AP course. The course may count for college credit at participating universities if a student scores a 3 or better on the exam. Students are required to pre-register.

State-wide Dual Credit Exams
Grades 9-12

These exams are administered in the spring at the conclusion of each state-wide dual course. The course will count for college credit at participating universities if a student scores a passing score on the exam.
