A.L.C. Introduction

We are launching the Alcoa Literacy Coalition as a way to build new partnerships between the schools and community partners, to recognize the effective work already occurring, and to re-energize existing relationships with a focus on literacy. The basic purpose of the Alcoa Literacy Coalition will be to raise awareness of the power of literacy and to cultivate collaborative activities that support literacy building in the Alcoa community. We invite partners to join us. Coalition activities will formally begin with the start of the 2017-18 school year.
