VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT, FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILD, THAT YOU TURN IN ANY NEW PHONE NUMBERS, CONTACTS, OR ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION ARRANGEMENTS (IN CASE BUSES DO NOT PICK UP), TO THE OFFICE.
THIS WAS EVIDENT LAST THURSDAY WHEN THE MIDDLE SCHOOL HAD TO CLOSE DUE TO PLUMBING PROBLEMS.
MANY STUDENTS HAD NO TRANSPORTATION, BECAUSE THE BUSES DID NOT RUN, MANY PHONE NUMBERS WHERE NOT CORRECT, AND NO EMERGENCY CONTACTS WERE LISTED.
PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE WITH ANY UPDATED INFORMATION FOR YOUR CHILD.

A Message From Mr. Kirk
It is February! We have been working hard on writing. The writing test will be over by the time you get this, unless we get snowed in again. The kids have complained about writing so much, but as I have explained to them, the only way to get better is by practicing. The teachers are working very hard on the new standards, which are as challenging for them as they are for the students. They continue to put many hours in planning in order to meet student needs. I tell the students almost daily that if they will do their homework, ask questions, and listen to their teachers, more than likely they will be successful. Continue to stress that at home.
This month we are recycling phone books and are in competition with the county schools. Whichever school brings in the most books will win money. We have won in the past, so help us out and bring in all the old phone books you can.
Thanks for your continued support. Without your help we could not be as successful with your children as we are.
Happy Valentines Day!!
Jim Kirk
There are less than ten slots still available for the Walt Disney trip. If you are interested you need to contact Mr. DeLozier or Mr. Fox as soon as possible.
