APPROPRIATE DRESS
APPROPRIATE DRESS
The appearance of a student is primarily the responsibility of the student and the parents. We expect students to maintain an appearance that is not distracting or in any way disrupts the instructional program and learning process of the school. Clothing which is not appropriate for school wear includes: halter tops, short shorts, short skirts, bike shorts, tank shirts, shirts with offensive language, clothing which allows undergarments to be visible. All straps, belts, etc., must be fastened on clothing. Hats and/or baseball caps are not to be worn in the building. When a student's appearance is felt to be detrimental to the school program, the parents of the student will be contacted and the student sent home or appropriate clothing will be brought to the student. The principal and teachers are responsible for making decisions concerning appropriate dress.
