A bus is available at the expense of the parents for students needing bus service. Proper behavior on the bus is required of all students in the interest of safety for all passengers. The cooperation of parents is required to assure your child a safe ride to and from school. To assist in this effort, the following rules are to be applied to all students riding the bus:
* 1. Students must be on time. The bus will not wait beyond the regular schedule for those who are tardy.
* 2. Students must obey the driver promptly and respectfully.
* 3. Conversation with the driver is unnecessary.
* 4. Ordinary conversation with classmates is permitted.
* 5. Riders may not extend arms, legs or heads out the window of the bus.
* 6. Riders may not move about or stand in the aisles while the bus is in motion.
* 7. Damages to a bus will be the responsibility of the parents of any student who defaces or damages a bus.
* 8. Fighting on the bus is not permitted and will be considered a serious offense. Automatic suspension could occur.
* 9. Failure to comply with the bus rules could result in the following: a) the student could be suspended from riding the bus by a school administrator or bus supervisor; b) the receipt of a third conduct notice from the bus driver will result in the student's bus privileges being suspended for three days. Please call the school when you have questions. The call will be returned as soon as possible.
