FRIDAY FOLDERS & STUDENT PLANNERS

Communication between the school and home is a vital part of educating our children. For this reason, Friday folders will be sent home each Friday with each student. Please take time each week to look through these Friday Folders. Don’t miss out on important information regarding events at Alcoa Elementary as well as what is going on in your child’s pod specifically. Also, each student will be receiving a Student Handbook Planner. This too will be a daily communication tool between the teacher and parent. Please make it a part of your daily routine to look at your student’s planner for important information and notes from your child’s teacher. Most importantly, we intend these planners to be an organizational tool for your student. It will help them (and you) know what homework is assigned along with the due dates. Each student will be issued one planner. Replacement costs of lost planners will be $5.00.
