We are also very proud of Alcoa Middle School and Alcoa Intermediate School!! The number system (it's a formula) takes all accountability measures and gives them a score based on how the school fell in each accountability category. When calculations are finished it looks like this:
3.1 - 4.0 = Exemplary A REWARD
2.1 - 3.0 = Advancing B
1.1 - 2.9 = Satisfactory C
0-1.0 = Marginal D
2.1 - 3.0 = Advancing B
1.1 - 2.9 = Satisfactory C
0-1.0 = Marginal D
Both the middle school and intermediate fell in the Advancing group. The middle school scored a 2.933, missing Reward status by .2 of a point. The intermediate school scored a 2.548, missing reward status by only .6 of a point! Both are outstanding and all three schools are level 5 schools! Although AES doesn't get test scores, the other schools couldn't do what they do without the foundation and support laid by our incredible elementary school!
This is such an honor and we are so proud of them!
