UPDATE 7/22/2026
"PLEASE NOTE: This update applies ONLY to newly enrolled students (grades Pre-K–12) who have not yet been approved in Skyward. Returning students should report to school tomorrow as scheduled."
Due to ongoing statewide Skyward system disruptions, NEW STUDENTS in grades Pre-K-12 who have not received a confirmation email that your application has been successfully submitted will not begin school tomorrow, Thursday, July 23.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this causes your family and truly appreciate your patience and flexibility as the state works through these technical challenges.
We will continue to provide updates as soon as additional information becomes available. If you have any questions, please contact your school's front office for assistance.
UPDATE 7/20/2026
Due to the continued statewide disruptions of the Skyward student information system, Alcoa City Schools has made the difficult decision to delay the opening of school until Thursday, July 23. All Alcoa City Schools will be closed on Tuesday, July 21, and Wednesday, July 22, 2026. All teachers and staff will report.
To ensure a smooth, safe, and organized environment for our students, we must have these pieces fully functional before students are on campus:

Available student health, medical, or emergency contact information,

Management of food service accounts,

Verified bus routing
We apologize for any inconvenience this sudden closure causes your family, and we appreciate your patience and flexibility as schools across the state work through this technical hurdle. We will share further updates as soon as they become available.
All students will return to school on Thursday, July 23. Pre-K, and Kindergarten students should still follow their assigned schedules beginning on Thursday, July 23.
🚨 IMPORTANT
All students should have their RSOE (Returning Student Online Enrollment) filled out before arriving on campus or they will be asked to complete it in person.
❖ Registration Day
(Friday, July 17th, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
Students or Parents will be able to:
- Complete re-enrollment form
- Provide proof of residency
- Add money to lunch accounts
- Complete any grade-level paperwork
- Meet teachers (K-5, Middle School)
- Take school tour (K-5, Middle School)
- Obtain school supply lists (K-5, Middle School)
- Pick up Chromebooks (High School Only)
*Breakfast and lunch will not be served on registration day. Buses will NOT run on registration day.

🏫 Alcoa Elementary
✦ Pre-K Schedule (7:40-11:30)
Group A: July 27th from 7:40 to 11:30.
Group B: July 28th from 7:40 to 11:30.
Group C: July 23rd and July 29th from 7:40 to 11:30.
Group D: July 24th and July 30th from 7:40 to 11:30.
All students will begin full-time on Tuesday, August 4th, and attend from 7:40-1:40.
✦ Kindergarten Schedule
Group A: July 24 (7:45 - lunch 12:00), July 29 (All Day)
Group B: July 27 (7:45 - lunch 12:00), July 30 (All Day)
Group C: July 23 (7:45-10:00), July 28 (7:45 - lunch 12:00), July 31 (All Day)
All students will begin full-time on Monday, August 3rd, and attend from 7:45-2:45.
✦ 1st - 2nd Grade Schedule (7:45-2:45)
All students will begin full-time on Thursday, July 23rd, and attend from 7:45-2:45.
🏫 Alcoa Intermediate
All students will begin full-time on Thursday, July 23rd, and attend from 7:45-2:45.

All students will begin full-time on Thursday, July 23rd, and attend from 8:30-3:30.

All students will begin full-time on Thursday, July 23rd, and attend from 8:15-3:15.
