Faculty Profile

I am honored to serve as the Director of Schools for Alcoa City Schools.   Our mission is to “Graduate Competitive Students,” by building relationships, establishing rigorous expectations, and providing relevant instruction.  I look forward to collaborating with students, staff, the Board of Education, and the community to create a learning environment that prepares students for the highest levels of learning and facilitates success for all students during their time at Alcoa City Schools. 

For the past 27 years, I have served in Blount County Schools, including roles as middle school teacher, coach, elementary assistant principal and principal, high school principal, Assistant Director and Interim Director. Growing up in the home of an educator and coach, I witnessed firsthand  the influence that a dedicated teacher and principal can have on the lives of students.  This experience has inspired me to pursue a career in education where I could provide students with opportunities to grow, be challenged, and reach their full potential.

I am excited to be part of Alcoa City Schools and look forward to the opportunities ahead. Together, we will continue to foster a supportive learning environment that empowers students to excel and achieve at the highest level. Go Tornadoes!
