Alcoa City Schools will be conducting a Professional Development training day for all teachers and staff on Friday, August 21st. There will be NO SCHOOL for students. We look forward to seeing all of our students back in class on Monday!

Due to the continued statewide disruptions of the Skyward student information system, Alcoa City Schools has made the difficult decision to delay the opening of school until Thursday, July 23.  All Alcoa City Schools will be closed on Tuesday, July 21, and Wednesday, July 22, 2026.  All teachers and staff will report. We are excited to welcome Michael Bradburn as the new Principal of Alcoa Elementary School!

Mr. Bradburn returns to AES after serving as the Senior Director of Secondary Literacy with the Tennessee Department of Education. Prior to that, he spent 17 years at Alcoa Elementary as a Kindergarten teacher and Instructional Coach (2004–2021).

We are excited to announce that Dr. Jonathan Grissom has been selected as the new Principal of Pershing Academy of Learning. Dr. Grissom currently serves as an 8th-grade science teacher at Alcoa Middle School and brings experience from his previous roles at Alcoa High School and Collierville City Schools. We look forward to his leadership in this new role and the impact he will have on the Pershing Academy of Learning.
