Faculty Profile

Hello and welcome! I joined Alcoa City Schools as a mental health counselor in 2023. I have worked in public education for over 20 years and served in roles as school psychologist, school counselor, and most recently mental health counselor. My husband and I have two amazing girls who keep us on our toes. In our free time, we like to get outdoors, bike tour, and travel to new places.

Roles & Responsibilities
Along with my mental health colleagues, I provide individual and group counseling services to students across our system, with primary placements at Alcoa Elementary and Alcoa Intermediate. My professional interests include early intervention, attachment and neurobiological theories of development, family systems theories, and trauma-informed and restorative practices. I feel very privileged to be serving in this role and strive each day to bring my best. I am guided by a belief in the transformational power of showing up for others. I believe weathering a storm and getting to the other side of it can build resilience. I believe that our imperfect moments are often the precise moments when the most growth and discovery happen. I believe our differences are so much smaller than our common humanity. And most of all, I believe --without a doubt--we all matter.
